Cover Reveal: Hermana
October 17, 2018
I’m so thrilled to announce the design by Amanda Walker. Her artistic presentation perfectly encapsulates the emotions of the novel - the hope, wistfulness, challenge and triumph of a missionary seeking to serve God and reconcile imperfect humanity to a divine message. Â

Â
Each day as I wrote Hermana, I rehearsed the missionary charge in Doctrine and Covenants chapter 4:Â
Â
Therefore, if ye have desires to serve God ye are called to the work;
Â
For behold the field is white already to harvest; and lo, he that thrusteth in his sickle with his might, the same layeth up in store that he perisheth not, but bringeth salvation to his soul;
Â
And faith, hope, charity and love, with an eye single to the glory of God, qualify him for the work.
Â
Â
Hermana addresses missionary work from a human perspective rather than a place of idealism. The cover, filled with a harvest field of wheat but a figure still clothed in the fashions of the world, speaks to the challenge of faith we all face as we seek to find and follow the will of God.Â
Â
Hermana is available for preorder on Amazon. Grab your copy at this special price. I’d love to share these words with you.Â
