Review: Five Minutes of Alfie

Updated: Mar 21

Five Minutes, Alfie

Alfie snuggles down in bed, dreams still in his little head.

He dreams he's a king going out for a ride. "A dragon sleeps in front of the gate," they cried.

How will they succeed in waking him up? By helping each other and lots of luck.

Review

What a cute little story! Allie wants five more minutes to engage in a very interesting dream. He helps the princess and the dragon. when the story is done, he’s rwady for a day of fun.

The text is very readable. It’s a little simple for older readers but my 2Nd grade daughter really enjoyed it. The pictures were also engaging. They enjoyed Alfie’s adventures and had to tell me about every dream they remember for the rest of the day.
