I owe the Scott family an apology. Somehow, I signed up for two "trios" in one day (I'm completely exhausted) and they melded into a single idea in my mind and agenda. I'm so glad for the reminder mail because I would have been sad to miss the zany but well-meaning family.
Laura and Ben are trying to bridge the gap between two opposite upbringings in every way. At every intersection of their wildly different families, the marshmallows hit the fan. But love has a magic all its own. If it didn't, most families would never survive.
This book is a gem. The dialogue is witty and the action fast-paced. Although there are hijinx, it never felt overly silly. I laughed on each page and when the massive meltdown at the end came, I knew it would all work out but I understood why it didn't feel that way to the characters. I was having a bad day until the Scott family invaded my time and forced me to smile - and that's what I recommend for you. Hold them until you need them. They're perfect for fixing whatever ails you.
