I really, really hate drafting. I'm a technical writer by trade, so editing is my forte. Drafting is...well, I spend a lot of time on Google and then a lot more time lying on my bed hating myself. Shannon Hale says drafting is "shoveling sand into the sand box." I'm fairly sure my drafts are more like cleaning out the kitty litter. Same tools. Different results. The coolest people cry while they mow lawns

I listen to Broadway musicals while I mow the lawn and that means I cry while I mow my lawn. Big, sloppy tears as emotion and music coalesce to make some philosophical point that changes a part of my heart. I'll bet you're not that cool.
